Elizabeth Rustrian was born in 1982 in Mexico City .
After graduating from textile design, she decided to focus her skills on jewelry, she moved to Houston where she studied contemporary jewelry at Glassel School of Arts
Elizabeth is recognized for the artistic value of her pieces made with traditional materials that show a high level of complexity, as well as great conceptual value to elevate her pieces to the category of ornament and art.
Her references come from her passion for contemporary art and the effects of metal within modern and classic sculpture.
Her inspiration is built by everything that captivates her. Under the alchemist premise of the power to transform a substance or matter into a different one, she creates pieces that go beyond simple design objects. These should be represented as mythological, religious and spiritual lucky charms made with ingredients from a magic spell that help to unveil daily life.
